BioThis journal will be a record of my struggle for freedom from addiction. Addictions I have long since liberated myself from, and a few I am still working on. As an adolescent and young adult I was plagued by drug and food adictions, and as I grew older love took its place among the many things with which I could not deal moderately. This journal is about the last leg of a race that I ran towards myself for twelve years. I quit drinking 28 days ago and quit smoking cigarettes twenty three days ago (the latter with the help of the patch, which I am still using), and now, besides battling boredom, fatigue, lonliness and anger, I feel like I need someone to talk to, and this seems the easiest way to do it without further alienating myself from my peer group.
